Brandt Park located in McFarland, WI will once again be the host site for the Fifth Annual Matt Splinter Memorial Softball Tournament, hosted by the non profit Matt Splinter Memorial Softball Tournament Committee Organization. The dates of the tournament are June 4,5 and 6 2010.
Matt Splinter was a young man who loved the game of softball. He was well known and participated in leagues in McFarland, Monona, Madison, and Stoughton. Matt lost his life in 2005, and to honor his legacy we have established this tournament. The tournament will be open to 18 Men’s teams and 8 Women’s teams. Play will begin on Friday night for the Men’s teams and women’s teams will commence play on Saturday morning. Entry fee is $150. per team and it is a double elimination tournament. All weekend long we will have a silent auction, beer tent, food, raffle and much more. There will be a Live Music on Saturday.

When Matt Splinter died suddenly two years ago, the softball community throughout Southeastern Wisconsin mourned the loss.
Friends wanted to find a way to remember Matt, and with his family's passion for softball, the choice was obvious.
The Second Annual Matt Splinter Memorial Softball Tournament wrapped up Sunday in McFarland...the money raised throughout the weekend will help to "build" Splinter's legacy at Brandt Park.
