We are looking for volunteers to work over the weekend in two hour shifts. Please email volunteer@mattsplintermemorial.com with the Day(s), Time(s) and Job(s) that you are available.

Jobs:

Beer Server (4 per shift)
Concessions (3 per shift)
ID Bracelets (4 per shift)

Times:

Friday: 6pm - 8pm & 8pm - 10pm
Saturday: 9am - 11am, 11am - 1pm, 1pm - 3pm, 3pm - 5pm, 5pm - 7pm & 7pm - 10pm
Sunday: 9am - 11am, 11am - 1pm & 1pm - 3pm

All volunteers will be called to confirm time(s) and date(s) if they are needed. An updated list of volunteers will be posted as it fills up.

Team Sign-Up

The Matt Splinter Memorial Softball Tournament includes 18 Men's and 8 Women's Teams.
Team managers must print out the following roster form and mail it with a $150 payment.

Registrations forms and money are due no later than May 1st of the tournament year. Teams from the previous year's tournament have priority and must submit all forms and payment by the deadline to be guaranteed a spot.

  1. ALL WINNING TEAMS MUST SUPPLY THREE PLAYERS AFTER EACH GAME UNTIL THE MONEY GAMES WHEN A.S.A.UMPS WILL BE PROVIDED. TWO PLAYERS ARE NEEDED FOR UMPIRING AND ONE PLAYER FOR SCORE KEEPER. FAILURE TO FOLLOW WILL RESULT IN A FORFEIT OF NEXT GAME.
  2. No warm-ups after the first inning unless there is a new pitcher.
  3. Teams can be Men and/or Women ages 18 and up that want to help rebuild Brandt Park in Matt Splinter's name.
  4. All teams must have completed roster before first game. A team may have up to 15 players on roster.
  5. Player can play with only 1 team during entire tournament.
  6. All bats must be tournament approved by tournament directors.
  7. 50 minute time limit per game.
  8. 3 home runs per game. Any home run after three 3 is an out. Inside the park home runs DO NOT count for the 3 home run rule.
  9. Fifteen run slaughter rule after 5 innings.
  10. Runner cannot leave base until ball is hit.
  11. No sliding at home. Runner has black, catcher has white.
  12. At first base runner has orange. First basemen has white.
  13. Pitch must be at least 6 feet high. Umpires discretion.
  14. Any person or persons thrown out of game by umpire will not be allowed into any more games in tournament.
  15. No metal spikes.
  16. Championship game has no time limit, no run rule. 3 home run rule will still apply.
  17. Injured runner can be replaced by last out.
  18. Extra inning games - Start with runner on second with 1 out.
  19. Any team caught using a non-approved bat (must be ASA approved) will have to forfeit that game.
